Welcome!

My name is Matilde. I am a doctoral candidate in Philosophy of Science at Boston University

My research examines how scientists produce and evaluate evidence about human populations and demographic changes over our evolutionary history. Focusing on ancient DNA, population genetics, and environmental reconstructions, I investigate how questions about human diversity, migrations, and climate resilience are addressed under conditions of uncertainty, data scarcity, and ethical sensitivity.

I am a member of Prof. Alisa Bokulich's Phi-Geo research group and a collaborator of Prof. Celso Neto's HUGERA  project.
