Welcome!
My name is Matilde. I am an incoming Postdoctoral Associate at the Minnesota Center for Philosophy of Science.
My research examines how scientists produce and evaluate evidence about human populations and demographic changes over our evolutionary history. Focusing on ancient DNA, population genetics, and environmental reconstructions, I investigate how questions about human diversity, migrations, and climate resilience are addressed under conditions of uncertainty and ethical sensitivity.
I am a member of Prof. Alisa Bokulich's Phi-Geo research group at Boston University, where I obtained my PhD, and a collaborator of Prof. Celso Neto's HUGERA project.
